Hi there,
I'm about to start on my first professional JSP/Servlet project and have
done some "hands dirtyin'" on the Sun One Studio IDE. I'd like to know how
reliable and popular this IDE is and how does it compare to others.
Regards,
Omer

Hi,

Just a quick word to ask you : why do you still code in homesite?

Today's IDEs make a good job of handling JSPs and you should definitely
take
a look at some...

And don't tell me it's because of the price !! Some IDEs like NetBeans
(www.netbeans.com) are 100% free.

I don't think there is any proud in coding at hand everything...

The latest edition of JAVAPro magazine has a short story about it, but of course no mention of status other than it is a technology that is not going to be widely used until vendors include it in their IDE's. That's disappointing to hear, since that makes the assumption that we are all IDE users and we are steered by vendors and vendors only. "HA! Not I said the lowly programmer!"
