You are mistaken. Though the linked program is a "derived work" of the LGPL
code (*), Pradeep's code does not have to be released under the LGPL.  He
just needs to make available whatever is necessary to re-link to a
replacement of the LGPL code (e.g. another version of the same code, or a
compatible equivalent), namely object code (.o, .jar, etc.) -- or even
source code if he likes (not necessarily licensed under L/GPL).  Presumably
those extended LGPL licenses you mention remove even that requirement.
