Hi all,
I want to give a speed on OJ programming. These are the points of my
roadmap proposal to Oj community
a) There are some tools I am going to publish on next days as separate
plugins, 1) CAD/Editing tools, 2) an Annotation plugin,3) Measure tools, 4)
Advanced Fence toolbox
b) I want to change a bit menu organization as I feel some tools are not in
the right place and the menu structure is a little "crowded"
FILE MENU: move "Copy view to clipboard" to "Save view as" submenu. Move
all "Save view as" tools from "File" to "View" Menu
VIEW MENU Move "Scale dispaly", "Scale toolbar" and "North Arrow" to a
submenu called "Decorations"
LAYER MENU Remove SLD tools (import export) as they are already on Style
submenu on layer tree
LAYER MENU Move Import ArcMap Style to Style submenu on layer tree
I want to do this modification before OJ 1.6 real. (december) if you agree
There will be other modifications I will propone in the future: I am going
to test OJ on a basic gis course focused on editing maps
c) There are some tools I recompiled from SkyJUMP that I want to integrate
on OpenJUMP after december.
(export labels on a text layer, move layer to category).
d) after OJ 1.7 I hope I can put a choice on my measure plugins so that
user can choose between geographic or cartesian coordinates (also for
Scale display and Scale toolbar tools). And an option so that previous
meaurements can be stored/cancelled on the view, My measure plugin will be
integrated on OpenJUMP together with the annotation plugin
e) For OJ 1.8 I will try to integrate Kosmo editing features (draw tangent,
parallel, remove last vertex while drawing, zoom wheel always available
while drawing) on OpenJUMP. These require a core modification of some
core JUMP files
regards
Giuseppe
