I was only suggesting disabling webview as a temporary work-around so that you could open http links from K9 message views.
It is interesting that this doesn't appear to be a widely reported issue so there may be something else going on. As a test, I uninstalled all browsers (and disabled chrome, including uninstalling updates) on my android 5.1.1 / K9 5.106 device. This did, not surprisingly, result in the error you are seeing. [Just uninstalling all browsers except chrome didn't result in an error.] Re-enabling chrome, and installing the current version (43.0.2357.92), made things work again. You might want to uninstall/reinstall chrome and see if that fixes things. And/or you might also want to try installing a second web browser (firefix/dolphin/opera). [As an aside - at least with K9, if you only have one app that can fulfill an external call request - e.g., open an http link - you don't get prompted.] By the way, when reporting issues please include the Android and K9 release details. ------------ Original Message ------------ > Date: Sunday, June 07, 2015 12:27:15 AM -0400 > From: Ryan Hodges <[email protected]> > > Yes, you can do that.
