Scott,
Hahahaha. Well, let's hope you get back to normal soon!

I used that workaround. It seems effective. Except now I can't get my
router to reappear! The Appliances groups is there though. I will just
clear the registry again.

I would like to mention one thing. The groups on my computer never went
to two rows but they may have on another computer (resolution setting)
and I was not aware.

Get well soon.

Jim

Jim:
Heya. So I found another workaround: if you add a new
Group, then any buggy "invisible" groups will come back. I think I've
isolated the pattern of movement that makes the groups go
away: it involves setting Privacy status and then moving an icon into a
group that causes that group to grow from 1 row to 2 rows tall.
Took me a while to find that one. I think I may have hypnotized
myself in the process. :)
