DESCRIPTION
GCompris with French language selected, wild animal module has a description of
Bison that includes "ont été chassés par les Indiens" which is considered
racist language nowadays.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Install GCompris, select French language.
2. Navigate to the Pig holding a test tube and flask, then "Experimentation"
tab.
3. Select "Fais connaissance avec les animaux du monde"
4. Click on the ? in North America to see the offending text.
OBSERVED RESULT
"ont été chassés par les Indiens"
EXPECTED RESULT
"ont été chassés par les Peuples Autochtones", though the near-extinction was
due to colonizers mass-killing the beasts for sport and land clearance rather
than by hunting by Indigenous People.
