Thanks for doing this Lukas, I will try this later today.
I do have two comments:
1) Could we create a KBE directory under SPECS and move the spec files
there so that we can separate different types of spec files out. I'm
certain before its over that we may need to support other spec file
formats.
2) This brings up the issue of what directory structure our hierarchy
of packages installs under.
Personally, I think everything should install under one central
directory instead of having an opt directory for each package.
So, our directory tree might look like:
/opt/kde
-- bin
-- include
-- stdcxx
-- lib
-- stdcxx
-- man
-- share
-- v3.5.8
-- bin
-- include
-- lib
-- man
-- share
-- v4.0
-- bin
-- include
-- lib
-- man
-- share
The would basically make it so that we could share dependencies
between every version of KDE we package and should allow us to install
multiple versions of KDE under the same directory tree.
What are people's thoughts on this?
Cheers,
