Just an observation... Gnome on my Thinkpad T61z seems pretty responsive, but KDE is very sluggish. Applications take significantly longer to become active, and even after it's up, the bouncing cursor sometimes remains for awhile.
Is this something to be expected, just an artifact of a work in progress, or does KDE need more resources than Gnome? I also find that KDE sometimes just stop working. All of a sudden applications won't start. Besides these issues, I'm pretty happy with what I'm seeing. Gary -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
