Something very strange happened. I downloaded the Cirkles Iconset from
KDE-look.org, installed it, set it as my Icon theme and things started acting
very strangly: everything ran VERY slowely and two instances of kicker
started running each taking 40%+ CPU time!

When I opened the dialog to change a kicker button's icon, it would freeze at
0% or 1%. I would close the dialog and be given another dialog saying the
program "choose icon - KDE Panel" was not responding. I would click yes to
close the application - and the entire panel would dissapear!

I opened the Control Panel to change KDE's icon set. That worked. I changed it
back to Crystal SVG. Not all the icons changed back though. . . The System
tray icon were still the Cirkles icons.

Then I downloaded glaze icons and installed them. I set them as my icon set,
and everything locked up. I eventually rebooted the machine (everything took
forever to do - the shutdown dialog took over 30 seconds to appear).

When I rebooted the panel was not there! I opened the run command and entered
"kicker", the backdrop for kicker appeared, but hten it dissapeared. top also
said that kicker would run for a bit and stop. finally I decided to run
"kicker --nofork" and see what happened. . . That's when I got a clue! Just
before kicker exited this error spewed forth: Buss error (core dumped).

I have no idea what that means. I also have no idea what the kicker.core file
is doing in my home directory, but I've included it because I'm guessing it
will be helpfull.

If you need any more info I'll gladly give it to you. . . Please help!

Thanks is advance,

Bryan
