I updated to 3.5 a few hours ago, and encountered some strange bugs in kicker.

1) The 'digital' style of the kicker clock applet does not redraw properly. It
seems like only the shadow gets redrawn on top of the black normal text. This
happens every minute, though every three or so minutes it redraws properly.
Forcing it to redraw always renders it correctly, but every transition to the
next minute breaks it again.
Enabling the blinking dots, or displaying the seconds seems to fix it too, but
I don't feel like having a constantly changing clock on my screen.

2) The side image displayed in the menu sometimes gets corrupted. It then
contains two blocks of garbage. I haven't been able to reproduce this though.

These two problems only appear in kicker, all other apps render fine.
A clean rebuild of kdebase did not help, and I can't think of anything I did
wrong during the update process.

I run 6.0-RELEASE, x.org 6.8 and I used the system gcc.

I suppose this is a problem specific to my machine, and not a KDE bug, since I
haven't seen this reported anywhere else. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Frederic
