I'm seeing the same stack of problems with Kicker.  Additionally, launch icons get odd artifacts behind them.  I stopped using any kind of transparency for Kicker because of this, but the problem still exists no mater what the background is set to.

Like Frederic said, the clock is goofed.  After a little while it's totally unreadable.  I've tried a variety of different appearance settings, but it always reverts back to messed up.  It looks like the clock is trying to write the foreground color, then the background on top of it.

There's a lot of very cool things about the new KDE, but with all the Kicker issues I'm having I wish I'd stuck with 3.4.3.  I'm going to try and create a new user to see if maybe the glitches have some legacy config relation.

Running 5-STABLE here, on Xorg 6.9.  Xorg was updated after KDE.  I'm also using the nivida driver, which I also upgraded after KDE.

I will try rebuilding xorg-server, but that might take some time. I can't see
why my X.org install would have changed since I upgraded to 3.5. Maybe the
upcoming X.org 6.9 release fixes this, I've read they included a number of
updates to the ATI driver I use.

Thanks,
Frederic
