The dkms subpackage was initially only added that it would be created on
non-cooker, so since:

* Thu Sep 01 2005 Buchan Milne <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> 1.2-2mdk
- merge (again) dkms subpackage that was created while package was in between
repos, build dkms subpackages only for non-cooker
- fix DistroSpecificReleaseTag (will require compat macros for backport)

it has been possible to test a newer ndiswrapper than is available in the
kernel for non-cooker distributions, just by rebuilding the SRPM from cooker
and installing both resulting packages.

Of course, you can install dkms packages on older distros (they just contain
source for modules), but you'd require a newer ndiswrapper package too.

Either way, packages for 2006.0 are available here:

http://mirrors.telkomsa.net/~bgmilne/mandriva/2006.0/
(urpmi.addmedia ...)

or

http://mirrors.telkomsa.net/~bgmilne/mandriva/2006.0/i586/dkms-ndiswrapper-1.6-2.1.20060mdk.i586.rpm
http://mirrors.telkomsa.net/~bgmilne/mandriva/2006.0/i586/ndiswrapper-1.6-2.1.20060mdk.i586.rpm

And, now that I've fixed the 'dkms mkrpm' vs "put %release in PACKAGE_VERSION,
here is a binary module package for the original smp kernel (which I will
test on my box at home):

http://mirrors.telkomsa.net/~bgmilne/mandriva/2006.0/i586/ndiswrapper-kernel-2.6.12-12mdksmp-1.6-2.1.20060mdk.i586.rpm

(there isn't much point in the distribution-specific release tag on the kernel
module package, but ... it can't be avoided I think).

Regards,
Buchan
