I have some new info regarding this matter....

It appeared i was mistaken and ONLY the x86_64 kernel has this issue.

thus: 2.6.17-5mdv-i586 works, but 2.6.17-5mdv-x86_64 does not work
(this is the x86_64 install kernel of 2007.0, right?)

i'm wanting to try different kernels, but i donno how... i've only got
a i586 system, so i can only try boot.iso 's...

unless i can install a x86_64 kernel in my i586 system...?

mvg,

Maarten

even the 2.6.17-5mdv standard kernel works...

i don't get it, if this kernel works? why does the boot.iso installer NOT work?

i thought the boot.iso kernel used 2.6.17-5mdv ?

if not, can anyone remake boot.iso with 2.6.17-5mdv and upload it to
the mirror? (the boot.iso file need to be remaked anyway, since
there's a bug in it's display of screens at the start...

Sincerely,

Maarten Vanraes
