I'm not talking about security.
Sorry if my words were rude, it wasn't my intention.

The problem rely when users upgrade their kernel and are using dkms. 
Kernel-source is not updated at the same time the user is updating the 
kernel. It need extra works.
we can't even tell a user to do the following to ensure that he had installed 
the kernel source for the running kernel when playing with dkms (  i.e when 
installing nvidia/ati/centrino/madwifi/... drivers ) : urpmi 
kernel-source-stripped-`uname -r`

It won't work as the package have .Xmdv and uname give -Xmdv
