Hi,
I'm new in this list. As I found at the JOS site there exist some separate
projects to develop native kernels for Java OS (probably such an OS cannot
exist without some native part). Has someone tried to build a Java-oriented OS
as a combination of some existing Linux kernel (maybe patched) and one of
known free JVMs (Kaffe for example)?
Also does someone know if there exist purchaseable hardware Java accelerators
for PC (Picojava chip had been announced by SUN some years ago), what is a
price of such an unit and if such things exist how are those taken into
consideration within the JOS development process?
