Just now I asked my arabic friend to check a laptop brochure i took outside
our office (in UAE). He says the arabic writings in the printed brochure for
most laptops says Core 2 Duo. But the english read Dual Core 2 or sometimes
Centrino or Celeron. Some people here are not very good with english and
immediately they read the arabic translation beside it and disregard the
english translation. Even retailer stores and electronic shops sometimes add
more to this confusion by not caring much about specifications and naming
conventions especially when advertising them.
