Go through the debug starting routine, but for the last line, add '-n', so
"c:\Program Files (x86)\KMyMoney\bin\kmymoney.exe" -n
This should start KMM without attempting to load your data file. If it
still crashes the same way, you've just wasted a couple of minutes.
Next, can you remove or rename c:\temp\kmm-debug-info, and run KMM as
above, then load your data file, and check if it otherwise appears to
work correctly. When you do the price update, you may get some useful
console output, or not.
When you tried the suggested new price regex, did KMM produce any
dialogs before the crash?

Oh OK.
I looked on my system and what I see on the Start menu, under KDE
Release is Settings/System Settings and that produces a cut-down version
but it does have Locale.
However, after I had installed the two stand-alone versions, I then
installed the full binary plus KMM source, so perhaps that was where I
acquired it.
