Bug ID: 39949
Summary: Control of authorities subjects VS authors
Change sponsored?: ---
Product: Koha
Version: 24.05
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: NEW
Severity: enhancement
Priority: P5 - low
Component: Cataloging

In our governemental organism we catalog archives taht are mainly text
documents. We are doing control of the authorities. This includes subject in
the zones 600's and authors in the zones 100 and 700. For our needs it would be
importent to make strict control on the subject authorities. But we dont want
authorities for authors. To put no control on the authors. But Koha let us put
strict control on authorities no matter taht is subject or authors. For our
need and probably others around the world i think it would be a good idea to
make a separation on the autority control on subject and authors for the next
update that will be the 25.11 in next November. So We can put strict control on
the subjec authorities in the 600's zones and no control on the authors in 100
and 700.
I would like to have a follow-up on this subject. It can be done in the
following email.
