This is NOT "the dog ate my homework." But the fan on the laptop that was/is to do the April presentation has stopped, and the machine is shutting itself down.
I took off much of the coders and blew the radiator (for such it has) and fan out. Much dust. No turn. Much sad. I have left the radiator cover off, and could put a small desk fan on it. I _think_ that will get us through April. I can get a replacement on line in the $32 area, which is cool. I may need to bring it to an installfest for help in digging that deep into the guts. I am always loath to force plastic parts. Also, isn't there a panel applet that shows CPU temp? I can't find it. -- Lan Barnes SCM Analyst Linux Guy Tcl/Tk Enthusiast Biodiesel Brewer -- [email protected] http://www.kernel-panic.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/kplug-list
