So, a few months ago i went through quite a bit of work to get our HTML
on our site all cleaned up and validated. 99% of the pages are 100%
validated with the W3C validator (4.01 Transitional).
Today, one of my customers and I were talking about which new server he
wants and he says he can't see any servers on the site. He's using
Safari. I downloaded Safari for Windows and it also shows none of the
body text just as my customer said his Mac doesn't.... yet IE and FF
show it just fine and it's 100% validated HTML.
WTF !?!?!?!? Where do I begin ? When I had stuff not work before, I
went for a validator and always found the fix. Now it's valid and it's
broken for one browser !
BTW - 76% of sales used FF, 3.5% used "Mozilla", 3.5% used Opera, 17%
used IE. 64% used Windows, 22% used Linux, 11% used Mac, 1.5% used
FreeBSD, and a few others round out the total. You just *know* there
*would* be some Safari uses in there.
0% of sales used Safari as the browser. Makes sense now, since they
can't see the pages.
What the heck is the deal ?!?!?!?
