<heh> A run through tidy does help (some). Curious: perhaps you (mjmc and ss) have uncovered an anomaly in safari. I'd be interested if some really simple test cases using <object> would show the same symptom? Might be a good thing to pass on to safari people. Assuming the object tag is the problem, and since the tag serves no useful purpose, and since it looks to be generated via php, then the solution to the immediate problem is just a simple php edit.
