Hello: I want to thank everyone for the responses to my last set of questions. I am going to build the network now.
Questions: 1. How does one connect a router/switch to the firewall computer which is hooked up to the cable modem? Do I need a second network card and if so what are the best recommendations for 1 gigabit card? 2. What is the difference between a router and switch? I am going to get a router or switch to hook up to the firewall server and then the computers that will be part of the network will hook up to the router/switch . Which would be better?
