I agree with this advice. Note that while there are something like 11 wifi channels, I believe they overlap in frequency. The net effect is that the effective channels is reduced to about 3. Lots of routers default to channel 6, so try 1 or 11. 2.4 Ghz is a popular band for consumer electronics such as cordless phones, garage door openers, etc. If despite your efforts, you still have too much interference, you might consider getting wireless networking on a different band. 802.11a works in the 5ghz range, where there should be considerably less interference. -- Rick -- [email protected] http://www.kernel-panic.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/kplug-list
