Hi Todd,

  Well that will be there job in this particular case, as I said in my prior
response to Andrew, the company hires good developers to work on different
FLOSS projects so they look for people with the initiative and self
leadership, they will be required to do constant bug hunting and feature
development, they don't spend much money on bosses or leaders per say so
it's more of a direct yourself approach, you can't have somebody that will
need to have their had held or a boss over their shoulder to work properly
now can you.

  Besides, based on my personal experience, most developers I hired before
slacked off 80% of the time, if they are not directly managed by a project
manager or leader, I know because I used to be one of them. :-)

Now to put a bandaid over this whole comment, It was meant as a comment and
does in no way say it should be used in every situation, and yes my
anarchist and anti-social background likes to mess with people, I am just
evil some times. :-( Sorry.
