Dave, a lot of email can be read in different ways. Sometimes here, the tone may be blunt, perhaps even sounding offensive if you're not used to having "accepted wisdom" challenged. It is my observation that personal attacks and outright meanness are quite quickly and strongly discouraged, but no one goes out of their way to avoid disagreement.
