I know someone who works for the Sheriffs dept and the IT directory makes many trips to Redmond and to other Microsoft "events". He has also told his staff that they are a Microsoft shop and only a Microsoft shop. This was one of Microsofts brilliant, and I mean that, marketing changes which took place in the early to mid 90s. Make PHB's feel comfortable that anything can be done with Microsoft software and feel secure requiring Microsoft software in all projects.
