IMO, if the Yang-gang can't fight of this takeover and remain mostly
intact( yahoo, not the Yang-gang ), that would be the best for the
market. But if they can't and the end result is Microsoft takes over
Yahoo, then I hope they, the Yang-gang, fight it so intensely that
what Microsoft gets is a shell of what Yahoo is today. Because if
Microsoft takes over a healthy Yahoo, they will find ways to move
Yahoo users, advertisers, and developers in the Windows-only
fold of MSN.com. But if Yahoo fights and wears itself down, anyone
jumping off the ship is far less likely to be jumping on the ship which
is attacking them( Microsoft via Icahn ). They'll probably jump to
Google and strengthen their position in the market.

So whatever The Yang-Gangs motives are, the result will depend on
the intensity of their beliefs.
