I've found that 587 is generally not blocked. Port 587 is considered
the "Submission" port, to be used only for end-user mail clients to do
the initial mail submission to the MTA infrastructure. Ports 25 and
465 are for use for MTA-MTA traffic between mail exchangers, and are
generally the ones filtered to prevent spam.
