If anyone ever wants an explanation or talk on RSA feel free to ask.
I think this is a good idea for a KPLUG presentation. We all use it every day when we use SSH and SSL. The math isn't that hard. Just basic arithmetic plus modulo and exponents. I took a "computer security" class at SDSU which really turned out to be a cryptography class which was still quite informative and I learned all about how RSA and other crypto algorithms worked. A refresher would be nice. I would like to see a presentation on how GPG style digital signatures work as well as how SSH and SSL style Diffie-Helman key exchange and subsequent symmetrical cipher works. Use very small key lengths of just a few bits so we can do all of the math by hand and it becomes quite evident how useful this stuff is.
