I guess I'd have to ask what you are trying to accomplish.  Yes, CPU
vendors run simulations of the CPU, it's part of the design.  But, I
don't think this would be very useful to someone who wasn't trying to
verify the CPU itself.  They generally run millions of times slower than
the actual CPU, so don't make for a very pleasant experience of running
software.

The dynamic-compilers and emulators try to be useable on normal code,
and still be reasonably quick about it.
