This does precisely what I want.  I have only one wish.

I just wish there was a way to make wget use the current timestamp for the file. (Maybe gwget will accept the same switch.)

Last time I tried to find a way to get wget to do that, I wasn't able to find one. I ended up using:
wget URL/picture.jpg ; touch picture.jpg

I would prefer that the downloaded files would show the time they are downloaded.

Aside from that, I like this program.
