I now own more than one Micro Secure Digital memory card. They are little black chips, about 1 x 1.5 cm, and come with various adapters to use in other sockets, such as USB and regular-size SD. How can I mark these chips to be able to distinguish one from another?
I use a metal scribe (used for scribing lines on metal in a metal shop). These chips tend to be silicon embedded in a solid blob of plastic/epoxy. I haven't had any issues yet.
I use the scribe since it subtracts material and thus is not likely to create a problem with tight clearances.
