Can this CPU implement a decent hash once a minute? If so, and it still gets decent power, that would be the easiest way, and there would be less likelihood of patent issues. You might also want to look into <http://www.wikidsystems.com/> which claims to do two factor through a third party rather than with hardware. It's all open source.
