Use the rpm file -- much easier.
http://rpmfind.net//linux/RPM/fedora/updates/3/i386/firefox-1.0.7-1.1.fc3.i386.html
Download it, become root, and type:
rpm -Uvh firefox-1.0.7-1.1.fc3.i386.rpm
(or whatever its name is) and hit enter.
If that fails dependencies, get back to us.

I downloaded the file from the above link into the \root directory (it was
the same except for a "src" in place of the "i386"). I ran the command
above and got a warning message and nothing else happened. What is it
looking for? a DSA signature or key of some sort? Here's a copy of what
happened:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]# rpm -Uvh firefox-1.0.7-1.1.fc3.src.rpm
warning: firefox-1.0.7-1.1.fc3.src.rpm: V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID
