Well, duh, I just "assumed" everyone would attach the ribs to the spars.? Glued, riveted, screwed, etc.? Lots of choices but they all work.? The aluminum won't "oil can" depending on rib spacing and the thickness of the skins used.? 2024-T3 would be a good choice for the skins and ribs.
