It uses about 2 amps , and gets to about 180 deg. f. but you only use it
with the engine running. although I tried to test one to destruction I
failed to get it to stop working.
It can get hot enough to be an ignition source, I turned it on right after
start up if needed, have it wired to the master to avoid leaving it on, or
an indicator light..
