The Midget Mustang is is like this (with the gear attached to removeable
wings).  The biggest problem is the wing attached fittings are so big and
heavy.  I'm sure it could be done on a KR, but why?  If you wanted to put
the wing attach fittings at the fuselage on a KR, it would be best to go
with a one piece spring like the Grove gear that mounts inside the
slipstream.
