My suggestion is HID. They use less power once warmed up. A 55w halogen bulb uses 10-15 amps vs a 35w HID which uses 20 amps for starting, dropping to 3 - 6amps once warm. Given a 35w HID is roughly equivalent to a 100h Halogen this is very efficient.
