Car brake fluid and aircraft hydraulic brake oil are two completely different things. Yes, car fluid is hygroscopic, and I do replace my automotive brake fluid when it discolors, as it has become corrosive, at least the stuff in the reservoir.  Last I heard, water and oil don't mix.
