for my part, especially with conceptual solutions that may
cross many source files and/or interfaces, some of which may
affect source not in ksh proper, I prefer just a bit of discussion
before looking at patches

I have no problem with the current situation and feel that
the expertise of the participants has settled in nicely
(e.g. bits build test standards process)

also, w.r.t. workload, David Korn and I feel that many of
the problems raised with ksh93-integration would have
eventually shown up later in other contexts, possibly with
much more work on our part to characterize and fix
