The DID xxx-xxx-2323 always goes to the AA.  The DID assignment is to 
extension 165 which is VM.

The caller here's two rings before the AA answers if they dial our main 
number.  If the caller dials a DID that is assigned to a desk phone, the 
  caller will hear between 4 and 5 rings before the VM system answers.

I've received some instructions from people that may be the answer to my 
question, but have to wait until later in the day to test them.
