Yes-there is no reason to include the fax line throuh the switching cabinet
unless there would ever be a need to share line as an outgoing voice line.
However sounds like you have set up XDP correctly except for oncoming field,
do not use DIL1:1 use DIL1:N and set ext X.2 to ring on desired line, then
other ext's can be set to outgoing same line and roll to when trunk is full.
Have done this many times way back when we used these cabinets. I usually
broke the 1st pair at the jack plate and labeled FAX to eliminate confusion.

Thank you all for the ideas.  I believe I have tried them all and still no
joy.  I guess the next step is to build sets of break out boxes to put at
each end of the station line to carry the fax analog line to the FAX
machine.  I will watch this e-mail string for any other ideas and start
