In the voicemail box setup, set ALL CALLS TRANSFER to mailbox ENABLED. This
will allow the auto attendant to transfer a caller to his mailbox. But you CAN
NOT do a Voicemail Transfer for a caller. You will need to TRANSFER to
Voicemail ext, then Dial POUND, 6 plus the mailbox number to transfer a caller
to that mailbox.

Hope this helps you.

Subject: KX-T: Extension without assigned port

Hello all,
We have a KX-TA824 with KX-TVA50 VPS. We have an employee in a remote location
ho would like to have a voice mailbox, but we didn't want to assign him an
xtension that is tied to a physical port on the PBX. Essentially all we need
s a voice mailbox which he can access remotely. I set up an extension of 125
n the VPS (our PBX has 24 ports). When you call in you can access his VM by
ame directory, but when you enter his direct extension or try to connect
hrough the name directory, you are prompted with an incorrect entry response.
s there a way to do this so you don't have to use a physical PBX
ort/telephone?
Thanks,
had
