There are two features: fax transfer and fax notification. You can assign a manager mailbox to fax notification to be alerted when the TVA transfers a fax. This is a separate extension from the fax extension.
Possible reasons why is it taking so long to send the notification: Can you cross-reference the date/time of the fax with the TVA message? Is the date/time stamp of the fax notification late? Or maybe Fax notification messages don't light the MWL and you are only getting an MWL when a new message comes in? I've never used this feature in 30+ years, so I don't know if this is normal. I would assume not, so something else is amiss. Have you checked with Panasonic tech support?
