Thanks for the suggestions.

I just took the cabinet apart and note that the card is in the lower
position. I was unable to get it out because of the two white plastic
stand-offs holding it in on two corners. Before trying to just yank those
out, I thought I'd ask if they are screwed in, or pushed in. I don't want to
damage the main board.

I tried rocking the card a little to make sure I was getting good
connections in the upper and lower sockets. No change. Still not seeing
Caller ID info.

Am I maybe on the wrong track? Am I supposed to configure the phones (7230's
and 7235) in some special way to display the Caller ID information, or is it
automatic that they should display it. I haven't been able to determine that
from the manuals.

lines 1-4 and the second one for slots 5-8.   this could be your problem
