Charles sounds like a bad 102 or 204 card -
I might be mistaken but I think that most of the DSP circuitry which I believe is responsible for converting the data on the harddrive back into audio is located on these cards - the beep you hear to leave a message, I believe is generated with circuitry on the mother board and is not a data stream coming off of the harddrive which would have to be converted to an audio sound . this would explain why the beep is the only sound you hear. if you have more than one card - does it happen on all ports or is it mal-functioning on just one of the cards?? it does sound like all of the data is on the harddrive and that the harddrive is functioning correctly. good luck - Joel weiser -----Original Message----- From: Charles P <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Monday, October 22, 2001 8:23 PM Subject: KX-T: Voicemail stopped talking! >I just put in a new TVS200 on a D1232 a few weeks ago. >They called me today saying the voicemail stopped working. >I had them check the lights and the vm light was still on steady, so DPITS >is active. >I couldn't get there today so I just called in and the voicemail seems to be >functioning but there is no voice heard. >After the irna 4 rings, it seemed to answer but there was no sound.
