Ah, I found the reference to this add-on in my
notes. It's named 'translation table' :), and
it's function isn't exactly CAT (for which
functionality authors refer to Anaphraseus
add-on for OmegaT :), just a two-column segment
layout helper (still very useful for what you
seem to have in mind). In fact, I think I'll
have a go with it myself.

As for the automation, you 'tend to not to'
(commendable :) but may still end having relied
(or not been careful) too much. Just like I did :).
