Hello

I am trying to use the l2tp to connect to EOL. They have an l2tp VPN server which I use to connect to it in Windows:
ftp://ftp.europeonline.net/pub/eol/W3/istr/EOLFastSurfGPRSConfigEN.pdf
. I installed the FreeS/wan software in Fedora Core 1 and everything is ok but I did not implenet the DNS step yet, but I do not excepet any problem.

My question is: can I use the l2tp IPSec in Linux to connect to EOL l2tp server?

Thanks

Hi,

You can either put:
ppp debug = yes
in your l2tpd.conf file,
or put:
debug
in the options file you use for pppd.

The only debug options for l2tpd itself are at compile-time.

I don't think you'll need to do this yet though, since the IPSec tunnel needs to be
established first

Phase 1 is coming up succesfully, but phase 2 isn't.
Not sure exactly what's wrong there, have you tried uncommenting the lines in the
ipsec conf file:
leftprotoport = 17/1701
rightprotoport = 17/1701

good luck.
