Maybe the classy way to eat peas was on the knife, but not everyone 
could afford the special knife? Then the honey makes a lot of sense. As 
suggested by some fellow spiders.

I say:
The Dutch classic method for eating peas is to squeeze mayonaise ovger, 
just like we d on our chips.
