What good news. I would love to see a photograph of the new Lacemaker Monument. Is it near the lovely Arenys lace museum?

Hi all,
It is not very usual that nowadays we can read on a newspaper that a monument
to "the lacemaker" has been placed in the village of Arenys, 40 Km. from Barcelona.
The village was a well known lace manufacturing center in the 17th. century, and
its lacemakers have been a reference to all lacemakers in Catalonia.
The monument has been constructed in granite, by Japanese sculptor Etsuro Sotoo
and assigned by the Arenys Lace Guild. It represents a lacemaker working. Weights
24 Tn. and it is 3,20 mts. high. The cost has been 60.000 Euros.
A good new without doubt.
Regards from Barcelona. Spain.
